Parental Mythology of Sorts

I know some one who shows similar pictures of her kids and calls them parental mythology.  Pictures to fool herself that one time or another her kids really did like each other.  We really have kids that like each other as seen below however, I'm taking them as proof that Caitlyn did like her baby brother, when she's a teenager with bratty little brother.

Halloween

So Caitlyn took until a week and half before she decided what she wanted to be a ladybug for Halloween.  Thankfully it didn't take much to make her a ladybug since last year she was a butterfly.  We did have to make the wings.  She enjoyed making them.

The finished product.

My mom had bought a cute outfit for the little man which he wore to daycare

but we thought that this would be cuter.

You decide.

Unfortunately it was wet here and with kids running around something was bound to happen.

She did keep trick or treating, after we went home and cleaned it up.

Yep

We're obviously totally terrible at blogging.  Here's the pictures to catch up.

We had a decent amount of snow this winter:

May 17th, Gavin Elijah was born, at a whopping 8 lbs, 7 oz.  Kacey's labor was about 5 hours, which gave us time to get to know him before bed, and to get me to work the next day.

We got a chance to spend some time with some friends from college at the Zoo in St. Louis.  The new sea lion enclosure is pretty cool.

Fortunately, Caitlyn still likes hamming it up for the camera.  We'll take it while we can get it.

2013

Okay, okay, so it's been like 6 months since we blogged.  The good news, is that I've got pictures!!!!

Thanksgiving and Christmas were both good.  Lots of family time, and Caitlyn warmed up to everybody almost instantly.  She had a blast running around Emily and Brent's house:

We had a good visit with my Grandparents Lundy in Tulsa:

Kacey and Caitlyn started decorating our house for Christmas once Thanksgiving was over.

And they started decorating their nails, as well.

Here's our little goofball mugging for the camera.

She and her cousins were running around like crazy on Christmas Eve.

She's pretty funny.

I don't know where she gets it from.

She got a couple pairs of boots, which she had to try on instantly.

She also helped Kacey try out her new cake pop maker.

I think it was a success.

Now we're just in the process of getting Caitlyn moved to the larger bedroom in our house to make the smaller bedroom the nursery again for our anticipated arrival in May.  I don't think we feel like we're behind in getting things done yet, but in another couple of months I'm sure we will.
