Our first trip to the Urgent Care Center

First off Caitlyn is fine. My sitter called me to tell me that she fell backwards off her chair and hit her head on the Thomas the Tank engine train set. My sitter is awesome, she rushed over picker her up and carried he to the sink. She told me that by the time she made it to the sink that Caitlyn had already stopped crying. We have such a tough girl.
When I picked her up and she had an ice pack wrapped around her head but otherwise fine. On the way to the urgent care center I asked her if she had an ouchie and she said yes and pointed to her knee (an old ouchie). I'm sure I'll hear later that her head hurts.
While in the waiting room, for an hour and a half, she sang songs, counted and played like nothing was wrong. When we got to the exam room the nurse asked her if her head hurt and Caitlyn didn't answer but let her look at it. She's still shy around people she doesn't know. So the doctor came in a took a look and thank goodness it's too small for stitches or glue. She cleaned it up and put on some triple antibiotic ointment and said to do that twice a day for a few days. Caitlyn was such a big girl she got 2 stickers before we left. I was given all the warning signs to watch for with head injuries but the doctor didn't think she had any besides I know she's fine. So now after our exciting afternoon she's taking a nap and I'm relaxing.
So at 2 years old we have had our first urgent care experience, although I'm sure it won't be our last. She has too much of her uncle Boy in her or Grandma Lundy from the stories I've heard.
